Nelsonville Family Photographer + Waters Family

Yesterday we put up the sign! With a little elbow grease and a scaffolding and ladder it is up! Thanks to my hubby and Dave for your help with putting it up.

This was very fun picking out the colors. The garage will be a neutral color but in the reception and shop there are a lot of accent walls. Hope you enjoy!

Studio Update Nelsonville, WI

We wanted to take some time to post some big news that is going on with ZoroPhoto. For the past two years we have been working very hard to expand our business. In May 2010 we found the perfect location to do so, in Nelsonville, WI (15 minutes East of Downtown Stevens Point). Not only is our home on this property but also an old 1930s Phillips 66 Gas Station.

Being a vintage building there was a lot that needed to be salvaged. The number one fix in 2010 was the roof which was flat and had about 10 different layers of roofing material that had been layered one over the other for the past 80 years. My husband peeled each layer off and we had a crew of family and friends help lay down the brand new roofing!

After the roof being replaced we were able to start on the inside remodel. The demolition was probably the most fun! Sledge hammers and crow bars, how can you go wrong right?! lol. We ripped down walls and ceilings, so all that was left was the beams. We removed the old furnace and air compressor.

Having a father-in-law that has been in the energy star business has been a huge help when trying to make our vintage building more energy efficient. We put in new insulation and a newer furnace to help offset our energy bill. There was also a new gas line put in from our house to the station.

Baby Plan + Amherst Junction Children Photographer
