Studio Space Decorating Ideas

As we get closer to our studio space being opened I've been looking for new ideas for decor. Found this today from houzz.com Very fun, clean space! Love the table center pieces and colors. Reminds me of Kyle and Emily's Wedding in Door County last year. Gray and yellow have been a hawt item ever since.

As much as I love this space it is tooo modern for our rustic, vintage gas station. Instead I found some really cool old letters the previous owner left behind which we will incorporate as well as some old car signs, Corvette lane, No parking here, etc. Can't wait to announce our opening date!

Jefferson Street Inn Wedding + Yawkey House + Wausau WI

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to help on of our fav local photogs, Lindsey Marie Photo!
We started the day off at Studio E, downtown Wausau across the street from where the reception was held, Jefferson Street Inn. Once Sarah's dress was on we made our way over the Yawkey House (another one of my absolute favorite places for a wedding) where the bride and groom did their first look. After the ceremony we were back at Jefferson Street Inn where the decor was breathtaking! From the BEAUTIFUL lighting to the elegant floral arrangements by Evolutions in Design it was the picture perfect day!! Thanks to Lindsey again for having us! Had a blast with you as always <3

I am so excited to share Amanda and Tony's last four seasons e-session! We've seen summer, lakes, canoes, puppies, Milwaukee Art Museum, Downtown Milwaukee, Downtown Madison to the UW-Madison union back to the State Capitol! A few of the sessions were super windy but this last one we managed to loose the wind and even gain a few degrees. This fall weather has been amazing! I've had so much fun working with these two. A Perfect Fall Wedding + Jon & Erica

Last Saturday was the start of this incredible weather we have been so grateful to have in Wisconsin this time of year....a perfect fall wedding day! Jon and Erica were married at her families land in Hancock, WI, a superb location! During the ceremony they each had their hands tied together, a tradition from Jon's heritage. Then they combined sand from each of their families' land in a jar together. Family had fun loving stories they shared with one another about the couple. Family and friends traveled from a far to see these to make it official! It was a privilege to be a part of your big day. Thank you for sharing your happiness with us! Brandon and Tiffany get married in Marshfield! These two were married at St John's Catholic Church, one of my favorite churches! Unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worse after the ceremony and we were unable to the park with the bridal party. We took a trip instead to Hudson's and then to everyone's fav Nutt's Deep II in Marshfield. LOL. Than back to the reception!!! The rain did hold off enough for Brandon and Tiffany to pull out the big guns, literally! I just love these two! The newly weds and their bridal party brought their guns along for a great photo opp! I can't believe it's almost been a month since our last post! Summer is flying by once again!!!
If you haven't heard, our studio is under way here in Amherst Junction, WI. I couldn't be more excited to take our business to the next level! We will be posting more about our open house when it gets closer! YAY!
In the mean time I'd like to introduce 2 week old Camyrn. First and foremost, I LOVE how they spelt her name. Camyrn has the darkest hair and so squishy, which I LOVE! I met her parents and sister, Maya last year at her aunt and uncle's wedding. I vividly remember Maya at the wedding because she was adorable with her flower headband and very well behaved. Her sister couldn't have been any better! I had so much fun seeing you all and meeting Camyrn! Thanks so much for having us document this special time in your lives! Enjoy!

Everything was at the Holiday Inn, Stevens Point, WI. And bridal party was at Iverson Park, one of my local favorites as well!

Check out a few of our favs, AND our take on the first glance!

First Glance! Wedding photography can be a big investement for couples. Of course we want to provide our clients with the imagery they will remember for the time to come. And although it may not be for everyone the first glance can be a tremendous time saver. A few reasons why we love weddings when the couple has a first look at each other.

1. The moment is priceless! I can remember back to our wedding day, three years ago. There was a LOT of anticipation. I couldn't wait to see him! Thinking what will he look like (after all that shopping for what to wear lol)? What will he think about the dress? Was he nervous? Excited? I remember every single detail...walking down the stairs a little wobbly, and opening that door where he was. These are my mental pictures I took our wedding day and will always cherish.

2. Keeps you ahead of schedule. You have the option to meet at your wedding ceremony location and photograph the family formals beforehand. Then you are allowed to leave for the reception shortly after the ceremony!

Like we said it's not for everyone but you can see below the first glance below is priceless!

Johnson Creek WI Wedding Photographer {Billy + Ashley = Get Married!}

We are very excited to post our most recent wedding of Billy and Ashley!
Everything was as perfect as perfect could be this day. Knowing Billy and Ashley only a few months, it seemed like so much longer.
Cheesy, maybe, but everything about this wedding was truly about the two of them, which I don't always see. There was one thing missing at this wedding, Billy's dad. Not that long ago, Billy's dad left this world. This is not to say he was not present. Emotions were set high, happiness and some sadness, Billy's brother even had me crying during the best man speech! Everyone was hugging constantly, truly love for one another, friends and family alike! It isn't a sight you see all the time.
I have to share the last two images you will see are literally during the last 15 minutes...Ashley mentioned to me that at 8p.m. they all came out...and they did!! We went below were the ceremony was held, looked out at the lake, and there they were....all of the fire flies began lighting up. Of course what a great opportunity to end the evening with a portrait of the bride and groom. But it was more than that...it was a great presence. I haven't seen anything like that since I was a child. It brought back memories I had long forgotten about and created some new ones for me as well. I was truly honored to be a part of this wedding and it will stay with me for the years to come. Thank you both!

Absolutely incredible work by Fawn Mueller at Inspired By Nature LLC. These were fun yet elegant! AND Fawn offers an amazing package where she comes to the ceremony to deliver and put on the flowers for the bridal party, and family, took down the flowers after ceremony and don't forget the reception!! Then there are the invites, which I LOVE! And not to forget, the rings and DRESS!!! You must see for yourself.....

Hey Y'all! It's almost Turkey day and I am behind.....VERY BEHIND on some blogging. We are officially wrapped up with our 2010 wedding season and want to share the last one we were a part of, Corey and Anna's Reception, Halloween weekend. I was really looking forward to this reception for awhile for a few reasons....Corey and I worked together while I was an intern at the Wausau Daily Herald, where I found my passion for this.
